Summer Doyle (they/them) is a narrator, author, and portrait artist living in Cambridge, MA. Thriving on creativity, Summer has a lifelong passion for the arts, with deep explorations in theater, drawing, fiction writing, and fiber arts.
Narration
Summer’s narration work is rich and textured, emotive and authentic. They draw on many years of experience—from Shakespearian training at the British American Drama Academy to contemporary work in the New York and Boston acting scenes. With a Bachelor of Arts from Sarah Lawrence College and concentrations in theater and literature, Summer now utilizes their passion for great storytelling with audiobooks.
Links to Summer’s audiobooks and samples of their vocal range can be found under the “Narration” heading on this site. To explore narration opportunities for your book, contact them here or on ACX.
Fiction
Summer has a long and lasting love for the written word. Their debut novel, Tooth & Claw, is a moody contemporary love story with erotic undertones. They have also been featured in the short story collection, On Fire, edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel.
Visual Art
As a visual artist, Summer’s work focuses on marginalized communities, largely LGBTQ+ folks and people of color, as well as powerful advocates. In recent days, a budding interest in landscapes has led to paintings interrogating the impact of climate change on our physical environment.
Most of the pieces shown in the portfolio section can be purchased as prints on Summer’s society6 page. In addition, that site features a number of digital artworks not shown here. Much of that more playful work revolves around a love of fandom culture. If you’re interested in prints or other products of a geeky nature, check it out.
